Don't send me down.

4 for 4, 2 2Bs, HR, 2 Runs all against Jamie Moyer.

Maybe a May call-up?

Very impressive. Radio guys sure are strong on his spring. Based on Morgan's lousy spring, I would say May call up should be in the works. Let the extra outfielders split the time til then

I say keep Cutch and start him in LF. Bring him North with the team.

I'm with you bassoon. This one big game didn't persuade me at all, I've felt this way for some time now. If McLouth is going to move to left field anyway...DO IT NOW! Why wait? If McCutchen is going to AAA put Morgan in CF and let McLouth learn the ropes in left. It is really common sense to me.

Keeping McLouth in Center is fine for now...He can handle LF anytime Russell makes the change...It's better to keep Nate on a steady routine coming to the ballpark batting 3rd and in CF

Other guys have mentioned if McCutchen comes up maybe LF is where he will be for the season to help ease him into the Majors...Nate in CF is not a liability...

He might not come north with the team, but I don't see why we wouldn't call him up sooner than the May deadline for super-2's. I say this because NH has shown a willingness to lock guys up prior to arbitration anyways, so the importance of being a super-2 (or avoiding it) is minimized. I'm guessing if he doesn't play in St. Louis on April 6, he is in Pittsburgh by the end of April after a couple weeks of suffering with Morgan and Monroe.

If he'd come up in April it might be when they go west to San Diego to allow him to start the season off in some warm weather...instead of the muck and gloom that might be in Cincy and Pittsburgh the 1st weeks of the season...

He seems like a warm weather type of guy

He was sent down today, along with Bixler. Here's hoping he is back soon.

This the right move. If he goes out and does what he supposed to for a month, he will get called up in May.

I disagree with this. Being a super-2 would be leverage for McCutcheon's agent that would make locking him up harder and more expensive. What's another couple of weeks? I say keep him down until after the super-2 deadline.

Amen to the first part, Bucco Boy. He's had a fine spring, but he's still a guy who has had exactly two good seasons in the minor leagues. He hasn't put up an .800 OPS in a full season above A ball. Bring him up when he shows that he can dominate AAA pitching, not before. There is no point in having him accumulate service time while singles hitting is way to a sub .250 batting average.

This is not a Morgan vs. McCutchen situation. This is a Morgan vs. Hinske/Monroe/Salazar/Pearce (or some combination of them) situation.

I agree boys. McCutchen is going to be a starter in the Pirates outfield before the all-star break. He'll be in left, or even right if Moss doesn't produce.
