Well now, I have a friend that we call Duffy. He's not a baseball guy, nor even a sports guy but he does take a keen interest in the female side of things. I'll have to ask him who he likes better and can promise that it is not Patrick Duffy in the shower.

Hey he might have been a big fan of the TV show Dallas.

I had to clean out my google search history after that post so that no one would ever find out that I once searched for "patrick duffy shower".

Back to the topic ... Nyjer Morgan is not hitting Kirstie Alley's weight - either before or after Nutri-System. Why is Morgan going to play LF over Salazar?

I think that unless Morgan shows significant improvement, he is not going to be the LF'er. Salazar is a viable short-term solution, until McCutchen takes over CF.

For a guy who is supposed to make things happen with his speed:

1) He doesn't put the ball on the ground enough
2) He only succeeds about 60% of the time stealing bases

Plus this spring he continues to show a crummy batting eye. 54 PAs and only two walks. I'm not so sure he makes the trip north, but if he does I give him about two weeks.

He may start the season in LF, since the Pirates seem committed to giving him a chance, but you are correct in his hitting deficiencies. A .200 BA from a guy with zero XBH capability and few walks is completely unacceptable.

If Morgan really is our opening day starter in left field i will guarentee it doesn't last a month.

Whether or not Morgan starts or not, he will be on the 25 man roster because he is the only Back up CF option right now

I think he is a good player to keep as a back up but i don't think he should be starting.I like a player like Morgan to be able to be brought in late as a pinch hitter or pinch runner or in a double switch. He just lacks what a starter needs.
