Question: Does anyone know why Duke was pulled before completing the 4th inning? Pitch count? Situational? Injury? Given that he only gave up 1 hit and 1 walk in 3 2/3 innings, there is something curious about him not finishing the 4th inning.

Observation: A day after Monroe hits 3 dingers, Salazar answers back to make his case. This team doesn't want to lose. If the dinger had only come off of Brad Lidge . . .

My view: cut Morgan, keep Salazar. And I don't say this merely based on spring training performance.

No 9: Finder says Duke left with the bases loaded. No note of injury or pitch count, so I am guessing it was situational. Perhaps Russell saw something to indicate that he was worn?

I'd still rather have Salazar in AAA for when someone's performance comes up short or they come up lame.

I don't see much point in waiting on that inevitability. The future is now.

Yes.

Are you guys saying you'd rather have a guy who could hit and play some OF versus a speedy exciting guy who has as much power as a little leaguer?
