Now sacrifice Gomez and pinch hit Bay.

Thats exactly what I was thinking, but Bay is 1/10 lifetime against Izzy.

It is my responsibility to remind everyone that Jason Bay is the most unclutch player on this team. Geez, the guy never produces.

Geez I hope LaRussa is stewing on the bench over there, I totally despise him. Trying to get Izzy in for the 2 inning save? Trying to bully us LaRussa? You got punked.

Boy am I glad Bay was so much better then I gave him credit for. I'll eat a good portion of that Crow if you'll please pass the butter to put on it.

BTW, for those stuck at work, I just love the MLB.com "video" feature on GameDay. Although not instantaneous, you can get key highlights played on your computer after they have happened. Can't wait to see Bay's HR and to hear the disappointment in the Cards' announcers' voices.

LaRoche needs a hit to get above that Mendoza line... preferrably a 2R Dinger.

I doubt LaRussa was trying to get a 2 inning save from Izzy...I think he was hoping to get through the inning...He took Izzy from the closer role because he needed a mental break
