You think he jusy wants to skip spring training much as some footballers want to skip summer camp? Is that what this is all about.?

No, this is about trying to get a deal that will lock Manny up in a contract through what will likely be his unproductive years. Money is not the issue; it's the lack of time.

Yes. In fact that's what they guys on ESPN were talking about during the Astros/Braves game yesterday.

Wherever he signs, he'll sign there late. Right now it's the Dodgers with the Yankees lurking just out of view.

I just think he doesn't want to have to play in spring training.He is either going to take this offer or wait and see if the Mets make him an offer. I just don't think he wants to seal the deal until its closer to the start of the regular season.
