ALRIGHT!!!!!! Luis Rivas batting second tonight!!!!! I can't contain my excitement!!!!!!

Sanchez
Rivas
McLouth
Bay
Nady
Laroche
Paulino
Bautista
Maholm

This could be a bad night for Maholm. First, he doesn't pitch well on the road. Second, he has Rivas at short, and being a ground ball pitcher, that could be trouble.

Suddenly, I am yearning for No. 9's lineup with Bautista batting 2nd though...

That lineup made me throw up in my mouth a little bit.

Rivas puts a huge damper on things, but if Paulino can have a clutch night like last night it doesn't look too bad. One thing I wish, as BBF touched on, is it Rivas does turn into 0-for-3vas, at least no more errors. Please.

If he goes 0 for 3 let's just hope there's a couple of productive outs!

I don't mind if he goes 0 for 5. That would mean we scored some runs!

At least, he handled his first chance OK.

Maholm's cadence so far this season has been:

sucks
sucks
great
great
sucks
great
sucks

What comes next?

Bats again starting out extremely slow tonight. Rivas of all people with the only hit so far.

Well, at least we salvaged one run thanks to Nate. I was ready to call a Worst Game of the Year candidate. Still close though. Moving on ...

Boy, this game had the makings of a stinker from the onset. It sure lived up to the hype.

Wellemyer (sp?) pitched a whale of a game. Maholm pitched well enough to win but was killed by some wimpy seeing eye hits.
