She deserves no apology. Is it coincidental that she only leaked his name a few week's before publication of her book on him? They were meant for each other.

Some Yankee fans may be apologists for A-Roid, but the NY sportswriters are tearing him a new one. Tearing their "beloved" colleague and MLB press agent Peter Gammons a new one, too. If youre at all interested, and I understand steroid fatigue, all the columnists are neatly packaged over at Pro Sports Daily. Apparantly there are some sportswriters on this earth who dont mind walking into a hostile clubhouse. But I suppose thats a NY tradition, if the movie "61" is any indication.

I think this is a good point. The list was not supposed to be public. So ethically, should she have even released the list? Second, i just have a gut feeling she might have come up with all the names, but just released A-Rod. The book deal is a conflict of interest (and the fact it was pushed up a month shows where the motivation is)

I respectfully disagree, my friend. If shes a blatant commercial opportunist, then call her that and a case can be made. But that wasnt juicy or evocative enough, was it? Stalker sounds so much more insidious, especially when you set the stage by saying your little daughters were peacefully asleep in their beds, unaware of the evil downstairs. Shes no saint, but this clear attempt at generating sympathy through character assasination was misguided and pathetic. What did it bring Arod besides scorn? Apparantly he has a bunch of image consultants on his payroll. If this was their advice, my advice to Arod would be to fire them immediately.

Does it change your opinion to know that she also was a driving force behind the Duke lacrosse with hunt? She never apologized to the students or the university for her hate mongering in the NY Times. If you get a chance read what she wrote about those players.

Funny you should mention that, because your boy A Fraud will have his due process when he's sued for libel.

When you're a celebrity, defamation law is pretty much dead-letter. Nice try, though.

I think I'm going to pass on that one...I get enough sanctimony at church.

Bowlers? Seriously, bowlers???

This nightclub achieved a degree of notoriety due to a May 16, 1957 incident involving members of the New York Yankees. One evening, Mickey Mantle, Whitey Ford, Hank Bauer, Yogi Berra, Johnny Kucks and Billy Martin of the Yankees, along with the wives of the former five arrived at the nightclub to celebrate Martin's birthday. Sammy Davis, Jr. happened to be the headliner. During the performance, a group of bowlers, apparently intoxicated, started to interfere with Davis' act, even hurling racial slurs at him. This behavior incensed the Yankees, especially Martin, since his club roommate was catcher Elston Howard, the first African American to join the Yankees. Tensions erupted between the two factions, and the resulting fracas made newspaper headlines. Several of the Yankees were fined. One of the bowlers sued Bauer for aggravated assault, but Bauer was found not guilty.
