I have no doubt that this is possible. But what is the source of the pessimism? We just took 2 of 3 from the Brewers (in Milwaukee no less), 2 of 3 from these same Cards and 2 of 3 from the Reds. That's taking care of business: winning three straight series against the teams in your division.

I'm not nearly so prepared to be depressed...

I'd be more optimistic if we'd quit leaving guys all over the bases...I know, I know...the offense is great....

There was our big bullpen acquisition, who yesterday Huntington had the nerve to say was a good pick up. He has no idea where the ball is going. NH should be ashamed for not getting help for this team...

Another blown game.. It really is amazing that we're still in the playoff hunt with all of the games that we've let slip away recently. Quite pathetic actually. Oh well. Gonna be tough to win the series with Wainwright going tomorrow. A win would have put us 1 game back. Now looking at 3 games back. big swing.

I'm not upset this is happening. I've come to expect it when we play the cardinals. I really fucking hate the cardinals and how spoiled their franchise is.

I don't doubt that we'll score to tie it up, but only so the Cards can walk off.

It takes two to make a trade. Looking around the league a lot of major league talent changed hands. Which MLB player were you ready to give up for pitching?

I'm not paid to be a GM. I expect my well paid GM to be able to get the job done. Yesterday NH even admitted he didn't get the job done. But keep making excuses...

And the Cubs beat the Brewers and the Giants are up 4-0 on the Rockies. Damn it. I'm not at all liking where this is going.

The Pirates are coming off a win streak, which typically means a few losses (two straight now in games they should have won do not count, they'll only serve to extend that inevitable loss streak). The Cards and Giants are getting hot and will probably pull away soon. Meanwhile, the Brewers are reeling, but how long is that going to last? By the time the Bucs win again they'll probably be 6 out of the division and the Brewers will be on a 3 game streak.

Again, really fucking hate the cardinals and how spoiled they are as a franchise. All in waiting, the 20 plus years of misery I lived through.

Now I have to put up with some guy named Wong.

Cuz you're always supposed to win when the pitchers only give up five runs.

The cry of the whiner bird rings out again.

"I'm not paid to be GM" equals "I have no credibility".
