Melancon seems to having a hard time finding the strike zone.

What does a protest do exactly?

Tough way to lose. Clearly he put his hand up at the last second. I wish that throw would of broke his hand.

Being that we don't play them again, probably nothing. But I do hope they fine that dumbass second base umpire. Horseshit call. Again if we miss playoffs by a game, we might remember this one. D bags are not just dirty, but lousy cheaters. Only way they can win a ball game is to have an umpire job us. Fucking bullshit!

Well I do know the pine tar game back in 1983 with George Brett was played under protest. They went back and started the inning his hr was called back. And kc wound up winning the game. But like I said we don't play the d bags again.

Dissapointing weekend. We certainly should have at least taken 3 out 4 from these guys. We have a tougher schedule coming up. Had to fight a valiant comeback to win one of those games. Now cutch and walker are both down. For how long? I hope not long.

Alvarez continues to struggle, really don't know what to do with him. Gaby stares at strike three today and horrible base running by polanco. Dissapointed! Every time we have a chance to gain more ground, we crap the bed.

That's not the first time he's done that! The last time I can remember Gaby having a positive impact with this team resulting in a Pirate win was back on Memorial Day in New York...

And people on this board still (using stats) defend him...for some reason and I get raked over the coals for criticizing him.

Where are all of his supporters when he fails in critical situations (more than once)? He might be a great guy and a great team mate but he sure has stunk up the joint so far this season with his play on the field.

Gaby the great lefty hitter.lol. Him and Ike are both worthless.

But you have all of your Pedro lovers on here too.the only reason he's still on this team is because the pirates have so much vested in him. On any other club his ass would be in the minors.

Finally saw the replay of the 'walk off' by the Diamondbacks. It's an easy double play. The ump totally blew it. But I am not surprised. That guy is just another one of Bozo Selig's Keystone Cops. They have pretty much ruined baseball with their incompetence.

Gabby like pretty much almost every member on this team has disappointed for extended periods of time this season.

Now don't be muddying the waters with the facts. He made an out yesterday, so he's worthless.

Plus Hurdle should be fired for putting him in the game.

He's out of options. So you actually think that if you put him on waivers no one would claim him?

"Think" is used loosely here.

Travis Snider used to suck too when he got out, now he's good. Josh Harrison used to suck and that spot had to be upgraded, now he's MVP.

People are ridiculous.
