Well according to many of these board members, they personally know that Pedro is one of the hardest workers on the team.

You mean "a large contingent of the board members can read articles published about the Pittsburgh Pirates".

No, according to every teammate he's ever had who was asked the question, plus everybody in management. Because some people actually don't think that they can read minds and actually rely on what they hear from people who have useful opinions.

Still waiting to hear which 9 foot tall third baseman in the history of baseball would have just eaten up that chopper.

I know ....it has only been stated from just about everybody associated with the team......also funny how Josh Harrison wears his hat over his ears but no one has ever said a word... 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

His high scrappiness factor overcomes all sartorial issues.

Harrison's OPS for July is now .806.

Bears mentioning. I like Harrison, and think he needs to play every day.

He should play 3B against a left-hander.

He should play a corner OF spot on occasion.

He should give Walker a day off every 2 weeks at 2nd base.

He should be on the field as much as possible. When the Giants hit a grounder to Harrison, he made the play.

Pedro is having serious issues at 3B and it is mental. He airmailed 10 throws, then obviously worked on getting the throws down, at which point he launched 3 into the grass about 15' from 1st base, before reverting to the airmail deliveries again.

His defense is just not good enough for him to play 3B for a good team.

He's already playing third base for a good team.

Correction, Pedro is trying to play third base for a good team.

LOL.

The operative words are "good team".

Not to me. To me, the operative word is trying. Because "playing third base" doesn't mean setting a 136-year-old record for throwing errors in a season with more than two months left in that season.

That's mind-blowing.

It is mind blowing. Steve Sax disease is horrible for a second baseman, how much more so for a third baseman, who usually has to make longer throws? Worst of all was when it happened to Blass; he couldn't become a DH, and any guy who stepped into the box was risking his life. It's just awful to watch.

Pedro's two biggest weapons were power and a ridiculously strong throwing arm. One seems to have faded, and the other has become a liability. I can't imagine what's going through his head right now.

And that's the thing about baseball, you have waaaaay too much time to think about blown plays. It's like golf in that respect, only golfers spend a ton of time training their mental skills. Baseballers, I'm guessing not as much. Probably much harder for Pedro...

Exactly.

And from everything I have heard about Pedro, he works very hard and cares a ton about how he is playing. The errors are probably haunting him.

In fact, he would be in a better position if he did NOT care. He could brush off the disastrous throws. Instead, they are basically Coleridge's albatross to him.
