Not a good sign re: his knee. Would've been a great venue to see if his bat can heat up.

Not with the Rockies starting three lefties this weekend. Pedro hits like Barmes against southpaws.

It is starting to look like Polanco has been asking Pedro for advice on what to do on breaking balls low and away.

Pedro hits less than barmes. I think hurdle could be sending him a message, that he needs to start producing.

Right, maybe that's the case. Or maybe it has something to do with him limping off the field with a bad knee in the middle of a game.

God, you're so desperate to get rid of Pedro that you'll grasp at any straw, however imaginary it may be.

Rest my case Sisyphus. Routine ground ball right over his head, strikes out.

The guy is utterly useless. Trade him before the deadline.

Hits more against lefties than Martin though. Martin is only ahead of Polanco among regulars this season.

This team has a lot of issues against lefties. Lots.

I rarely resort to this, but sheesh, you really are an idiot, aren't you?

Are there mods here?

Anyway, I'll support Pedro while he's a buc. He's awfully frustrating not for a lack of ability but for a lack of coming through in the clutch. Not shortsighted, he's lacked this season under the gun. Maybe his confidence is shot. Maybe his feelings get hurt when he walks back to the dugout after a God awful at bat or when he throws away a simple through to first base and the crowd shows frustration. Worse yet his teammates in the dugout. Don't pretend every teammate is going to pick him up. Some aren't. This guy is expected to not only act like a pro off the field but also on the field.

Guys here love numbers, I respect that, I enjoy the analysis.

What have Alvarez's numbers shown this season with RISP? For all the protection and bashing from fans here on this site about Pedro I've never seen proof of where this cat stands under the bright light, in big moments. Is he answering or faltering.

Has he progressed or regressed?

Without Pedro coming through in clutch moments this team isn't going anywhere over the long haul.

115 wRC+ in at-bats considered high leverage and 101 wRC+ with RISP. So he's not that bad.

Then again, people were proclaiming Martin as some sort of clutch deity earlier and his high leverage numbers were awful and he batted under .200 with RISP last year so a lot of it is perception.

There is no harder worker on the team than Pedro. It would be naive to think he doesn't know he is not playing as well as he thinks he should or that he is ok with his performance. Effort is not the issue here. Nor is team support. This is a good bunch and seem to be all in as a team. Just gotta play it out….. 8-) 8-) 8-)

Really, are you in the dugout during the games? Just asking.

Plenty of players and coaches have been asked about Pedro over the past couple of years. Anyone who has seen spring training knows he is out there as early and there as late as any player out there. People seem to get caught up in his facial expressions but look at him after a big hit or a strike out, he doesn't show emotion and that is okay. It doesn't mean he isn't having fun or doesn't care. He is just that type of person. I'm that type of person, I've got the same criticism from my family and friends my entire life.

How many times can you pat a PRO on the back? Bad throw time after time where it becomes more than "get em next time" or consistent swings at bad pitches 3 feet in front of home plate. More pats on the back?

Like I said I support Pedro while he dons these colors, for how much longer, not sure but I hope the bucs can work with him, continue to work with him, to maximize his talent. Its in there, know matter how inconsistent he is.

His hard work isn't showing, IMO.
