Like or dislike who cares….my worry is that they are getting him out the same way all the time…he hasn't made successful adjustments…JMHO…. 8-) 8-)

Here's a potentially interesting analysis.

Alvarez's doubles for the year: 10
Alvarez's throwing errors for the year: 19

I'd be curious to know, of those 19 throwing errors, how many times the batter has been able to take an extra base.

It is entirely possible that Alvarez has "given back" as many doubles (by virtue of his throwing errors) as he has produced at the plate.

I've just looked at that as karma. I can remember five specific times Alvarez throwing errors led to big innings that changed the game. Like one against Milwaukee early in the season, where I looked at my wife and said "Game Over" when the Brewers got five runs after getting four outs.

Yes, but that isn't a 'skill', therefore it doesn't factor into analysis. ;)
