It's a cardinals game but not from this series, do you remember the Sunday night game on Mother's Day against the cardinals? I think that was the worst loss of the year, we were down the whole game and seemed like a game we would not win but in the bottom of the 9th we were down 6-4 and loaded the bases with nobody out and we made it 6-5 and we wound up getting nothing else and lost. Walker hit into a 5-2-3 double play and then I think it was Ike Davis who hit a weak fly to end it.

giants game when we were winning 8-2, then lost 11-10. Or the Easter game vs the brewers when Braun beat us. This was the game with bench clearing brawl. Actually all the losses vs the brewers were bad.

That Mother's Day loss to the Cards plus that Giants loss. Think of the difference that would have made. Those two games were the only burps on what would have been an 8-1 homestand, as opposed to 6-3.

My two have to be the two games Grilli blew to the Brewers by serving up homers in the 9th to Roid Boy!

It was Easter Sunday and my wife and I had an event to attend on Saturday night, so I was watching the game the next morning, not knowing the result. Thought that game was safe in the bag and then it happened.

Easter Sunday morning, wife in the shower and I am screaming every obscenity known to Man at Ryan Braun, Grilli, the Brewers, Milwaukee etc....before heading off to church and brunch.

Backwards. Davis hit the weak ass pop up first and then Jordy Mercer hit into the double play to end it.

Your right, it was Davis who made the first out, thank you, man that game was aggrevating!

My least favorite, mostly because it was one I watching with my father-in-law, was the first Orioles game. The one were Tillman threw 50 pitches in the first inning, walked in two runs and we still lost.

Any Brewers game where we lost late. No excuse for it, just inept managing.

Every @#$*ing loss is a kick in the balls.

To be honest, this most recent series with the Cardinals might have been the most frustrating I've been this year with Hurdle's over-managing. Not really "worst loss" criteria, but extremely frustrating to save Melancon because it was a tie game on the road two games in a row in the 9th in favor of using objectively the two worst performing relievers this year. The Frieri game in particular was just total garbage.

The five worst losses, in my view:

* The two "Ryan Braun homers" games at home versus the Brewers.
* The "Rosenthal as Houdini" game at home versus the Cardinals.
* The 8-2 stomach punch game at home versus the Giants.
* The "Melancon can't throw a Goddamn strike" game in Milwaukee.

Yikes. Give the Pirates those 5 games and you're looking at a team that's 53-39 and has a 5-game lead in the division...

I looked at the Cards series as 1 win 54, 2 lose 54 and 1 other 54.

Monday's loss didn't bug me as much as Tuesday's. Their homerun hitter beat our pitcher in a game in which both starters were masterful. And I'd rather Wainwright strand all those runners than some of the other clowns with 6+ ERAs that have done so over the years.

Tuesday's. There is no excuse to serving up a gopher ball to a guy with an abysmal .606 OPS! None! None! None!

Wednesday and Thursday were win 54s for each team.

Has to be the Braun homers. How could it be anything else?

The June 17th, 18th, and 19th series against the Reds when Grilled Cheese turned to mold...Though, the Pirates did win one of the three games and did spark a nice winning trend afterwards.

Attended both brewer games where Braun unleashed on Grilli. That there was emotionally painful. The trip home wasn't long enough.

But holding back Melancon made him available to close with a huge lead yesterday, just to get some work.
