Cole to the DL with the lat problem. Cumpton will start Wednesday.

Liriano threw 6 scoreless last night at Indy. 3 hits, 0 walks, 8 K's.

We'll get them all in the rotation at the same time eventually...

Things general managers never say:

"Wow, that contract demand is waaaay too low."

"Why, yes, I would very much like to trade for David Ortiz to upgrade the team defense."

"Hey, we have too much starting pitching."

This latest injury to Cole has me wondering if we'll see him again this season. If we do, I wonder if he'll be his usual self.

The first trip to the DL didn't have me too concerned. Twice is kind of concerning.

Any DL stint is cause for concern, especially for the guy that is supposed to be your ace. But this injury, like the previous one, is not considered to be serious.

Yeah. Tell that to the Braves. And it just further explains the A's -- Cubbies trade.
