Six million? Two years?

Is DL their GM?

Did you see what Wiggy did last year? I'd say they got a relative bargain.

Me, too. And Im sure Wiggy would agree with both of us. Bad year to be a free agent.

Andy MacPhail has made a flurry of small, interesting moves in Baltimore over the past month, capped by the Markakis extension, which was huge. In just about any other division, the O's might be a sleeper pick, but they'll be lucky to slip past Toronto in the AL East standings.

I'd say the deal is about right. Yes, he could have another year like last year, but he could also have another year like his Pirate year. You can't spend much on an inconsistent player. Again, it's about right in today's market.
