Lambo going to see a lot of playing time, I think. Spring training does not mean a thing - except to players like Lambo, who might play himself into or out of a major league job.

Alvarez 0-2 with two Ks. 5 LOB. Left the wailing begin. ;)

It's kind of comforting to know that some things never change. :) :)

The Good News: Pedro sought out advice on how to avoid another terrible April.

The Bad News: Pedro sought the advice from Adam Laroche.

I don't know if I can handle day-to-day spring training updates. I really don't.

I don't care if Pedro goes 0-50 this spring as long as he starts hitting in April...

I think this is a sign that we have a great team and I expect a return to the playoffs at minimum!

The winking icon was meant to denote that my post was tongue-in-cheek . . . .

Pedro had bases loaded with 3 balls, 2 strikes, 2 out, and he sat there and took strike 3 instead of swinging.
So freaking frustrating.

I know. I'm just one of those "spring training doesn't mean much at all" guys. So long as our core players get reps and stay healthy, I don't care about results. I'll keep an eye on Lambo's stats and some of the prospects getting their first taste of major league camp, but that's it.

Spring training means absolutely zero - nothing, nada, zip, zilch - for veteran players.

I remember one spring, Xavier Nady hit something like .133. Opening day against the Braves, 3-5, 2 HR's, 7 RBI's.

Yeah, those spring stats meant a lot.
