Minor League Deal with a chance to earn a spot in the rotation.

For our sake I hope he makes their rotation!

I don't know...I think McDonald could pull a "Jason Schmidt". There is no doubt JMac has a talent, but he can't seem to keep it together. Maybe a change of scenery would work; although if Searage couldn't solve him I doubt anyone can.

I think the difference might be just how badly he struggled last year, even during multiple rehab assignments, where he was even being shelled by rookie league hitters during a time when he was fighting to keep a spot in the organization. Prior to last year I was always very optimistic with J-Mac, I just like(d) the stuff too much. But with the consistency issues combined with the multiple recent injury issues, I'd be floored if he turned into an even average pitcher again.

Head case.

Wrigley could be very bad news for him.

I don't think you'll see JMac in the MLB again.

I wish him luck except for the days he pitches against the Bucs!

I feel for JMac. He has a good fastball and IMO an awesome curve, but his head is just all over the place. He has potential to shut a team down for 6 innings, but with absolutely no consistency or predictability whatsoever.
