Yep, I conceded in my post that injuries was a big factor why got so many RHP ABs. I did forget that Snider and Tabata both went down in late April, so thanks for pulling the numbers.

After April though, Jones only made 20 more starts in RF the rest of the year, while Gaby started 60 games at 1B last year. So that is why I took exception with nad69dan saying he got a lot of RHP ABs "because Jones started in RF a lot". He started significantly more games in RF in recent years (58 in 2012, 78 in 2011, etc). I agreed with him, however, that a lot of it was injuries and the bench being so weak for most of the year. When a guy who has posted OPS figures of .566 and .612 against righties the past two years is your best PH option, it probably means your other bench options included the likes of John McDonald, Inge, Barmes, McKenry, and Harrison.
