The Pirates will unveil a new alternate jersey on Friday, ditching the horrific red jersey that was introduced in 2007.

I for one, hope it's black. I loved the 70's era solids.

Thank god the red uniforms are gone. I'm crossing my fingers for the stovepipe hat!

I was actually in the (very small) minority of digging the red alternate jerseys, but alas, interested to see what new ones they come up with.

Lets go wih pink we would be the first team ever to do so and it would draw national attention.
Maybe its what we need.
Or maybe just cause we have a bunch of girls.
Look at Adam LaRoche and look at Andy. Its not like everybody doesn't know thats Adam's little sister.

But

Think Pink = No Stink!

Another vote for the red jersey. I'll be getting one now that the prices are sure to fall.

I heard rumor last year they turned all the old Red Jerseys with Jim Tracy's name on the back into toilet paper...

I'm guessing it'll be a primarily yellow jersey, as well. Somewhat similar to the ASG Home Run Derby jerseys from 2006.

Oh, and the 70's retro-beehive striped pillbox hats will ALWAYS be cool! Although I can't find a picture of former Suicidal Tendencies guitarist Rocky George to prove it, right now.

Ta-da!

I think I would have preferred a throw-back jersey. Oh well, at least it isn't red.

Not a fan of the yellow stitching. Oh well. Thanks for the picture, by the way.

Well, its mostly black and gold. Thats fine.

Got the P for Pittsburgh. That works.

And you got the numbers of years til we have a .500 team. Yup, its all there.

 8-)

That seems a little optimistic...

Ahhh, who's kiddin who? I was just being fashionably pessimistic. The 12 actually stands for 2012, when we'll be the Cinderella story of MLB.

I'm with you on the vests, AZ....loved 'em. I certainly don't associate them with losing, in fact I will always associate them with the Clemente years. I hated it when they abandoned them in the '70s and I hate it now.
