Jocketty expects Chapman to stay as the closer for 2014.

http://hardballtalk.nbcsports.com/2013/ ... -rotation/

Quote:
We feel we have the depth in our rotation now that we can continue to keep him in the bullpen. That’s probably the plan going into spring training. We’ll have him prepare for spring training like he has in the past. He’ll come in and pitch a lot of innings in spring training, so he could go either way. In all likelihood when we get to spring training, we’ll make a decision. I would think he’ll continue to be our closer.

I'm waiting for the day for him to take on in the ear at the plate. I guess I'll continue to wait.

"Also, when we approached Aroldis about moving to the starting rotation, he screamed like a 6-year old girl watching Alien, and climbed into a tree. He was in the tree sobbing until the fire department pulled him out 45 minutes later. We figured he may not want to move into the rotation. And the fire department said they would not pull him out of a tree again."
