The 74-year-old has been in baseball for 56 years and previously worked as an adviser for the Los Angeles Dodgers, Boston Red Sox, Milwaukee Brewers and Atlanta Braves.

Lajoie spent 23 years in the Detroit organization and was the general manager of the Tigers team that won the World Series in 1984.

I agree. A friend of mine from Livonia, Michigan was his neighbor.
