Do the pirates receive any playoff money, if so how much? Pedro has always hit well in the day light compared to at night, Can some one tell me how to find those stats? Thanks.

They do of course receive playoff money. I don't know the details.

Just go to just about any web site that offers stats, and look for splits. Day/night is almost always there.

Here is one that I use....with daylight stats already there for you!

http://espn.go.com/mlb/stats/batting/_/ ... order/true

Surprisingly, Pedro's daylight stats are not as good as I thought. He hit just .211 and just 14 of his HR were during the day!

I looked that up the other day as I was thinking the same thing. Was surprised to see his day numbers are just about the same. Like you I expected to see crazy numbers.

Last year the division losers in the national league got 2.1 million per team and each of them divided it about 50 ways so that each full share was 37,000. Maybe a new truck if dressed down.

$37,000 is a nice chunk of change for Travis Snider to taking up becoming a professional chef.

Well, I suppose the biggest thing was his day HR vs Night.

16 HR in 58 day games and 23 in 104 night games.

But honestly, I expected him to be hitting like .400 in day games!

A lot of it was carried over from last year as well. At least in the first half of the season, he had a significant split hitting more HRs in day games.
