Okay, first the good news. Losing 9-1 is no different than losing 2-1 and it's one game. One, not three.

Also, I have a feeling about games very often - I felt really good about Tuesday's game, not good about today's.

Have not felt good about this game, at all.

Feel really good about tomorrow. Gerrit Cole will deal, and Lynn's curveball is nowhere near what Wainwright's is.

Cole dealing, an offense set to smack around Lynn - I like it. Feel really good about tomorrow, and coming back to Pittsburgh tied 1-1.

Yeah agreed on pretty much all points. I didn't think the specifics would be filled with a really high level of incompetence but a loss is a loss. Time to bear down and get that W tomorrow.

It's one game and honestly, I hate to say this but we needed this kick in the teeth. We were on a high, four game winning streak over the Reds and went in riding the pony like we stole it. Guess what, somebody forgot to tell us we weren't riding racehorse. So we regroup, take our licks and send Cole to the mound tomorrow.
That crowd will not be as raucous as it was today and the Cardinals might feel like were under the gun and about to bow to the pressure of playoff baseball. There are enough leaders on that team, they will bounce back.
As a matter of fact, were playing a day game so that should mean a Pedro HR, lets hope he has runners on base when he goes yard. I'll worry went it's 2 outs and were down to the final out of our season. Until then we have a lot of baseball to play.

One could argue that losing in the fashion that they did is less demoralizing as a close loss might have led to the Bucs doubting themselves. At least with this loss they can say, 'maybe it was just one bad inning and things break differently without it?'

But your greater point stands.

Just one loss.

Cole .45 and Papa can swing this quick.

Jeanmar Gomez came in yet again and saved the bullpen. The Pirates lost but only used the "C" list of bullpen arms.

The game wasn't heartbreaking. I was in the car while No. 9 was keeping me updated. By the time I got in front of the TV I wasn't even nervous or excited anymore. I moved on in-game.

I'm with ya, Bucfan.

Win today, then go home to rabid fans again for 2.

I like that recipe.

Now can you tell me what today's lottery numbers will be??
