For a franchise that seemingly did everything wrong for 20 years, they're hitting on all cylinders now.....

Pirates to host Postseason Party at PNC Park
Team encourages fans to come to PNC Park to enjoy Thursday's game on Federal Street
The Pittsburgh Pirates announced today the plans to host a special Postseason Party on Federal Street outside PNC Park on Thursday, October 3, 2013 (weather permitting). The Pirates encourage fans to cheer on the team outside of PNC Park as they take on the St. Louis Cardinals at 5:07 p.m. in Game One of the National League Division Series in St. Louis, Mo.

The team's plans include a 15' x 20' projection screen to be located on Federal Street outside PNC Park where fans can enjoy the game with the bridge and city of Pittsburgh as the backdrop.

"This series promises to be another great chapter in this incredible season and we want to ensure all of our loyal fans have the opportunity to be a part of the festivities," said Pirates President Frank Coonelly. "The electricity of the first Postseason game at PNC Park showed how passionate Pittsburgh is about the Pirates and we want to give fans the opportunity to join together again to cheer on the team."

The PNC Park Clubhouse Store and all local establishments around PNC Park will be open for business. Several local establishments will have food and beverage vendors set up along Federal Street. Also, fans are encouraged to bring chairs for a comfortable view as seating will not be provided. Outside food and drink will be permitted, but for safety reasons, grills and glass bottles will not be permitted. The PNC Park Riverwalk will be open to provide guests with access to restroom facilities.

Federal Street and the Clemente Bridge will close to vehicular traffic at 10 a.m. the morning of the event. Also, there will be limited free parking available after 4 p.m. in the Red Lot Six, located across from the PNC Park Press Entrance on General Robinson Street, courtesy of Alco Parking.

Fans are encouraged to ride the FREE "T" from the four Golden Triangle stations to the North Side Station just outside of PNC Park's Trib-Total Media Home Plate Gate.

Fantastic!

So how many chants can we expect to hear from the streets, then?
