TBS didn;t air Andrew McCutchen's mom singing the National Anthem.
They didn't show the lineup or anything.

Here's a link to the Anthem she sang.

They were too busy showing Sid Bream.

You'd think MLB would have required in the post-season contract that they show at least the introductions and anthem, if not the first pitch. Maybe MLB thought it was so obvious that they didn't need to tell TBS, et. al., to show this stuff. It's too bad that TBS doesn't understand baseball...

I was very unimpressed with the pregame show. I knew that they would start out early with Bream and then they spent way too much time talking about each others' alma maters. They had too much space to fill and they didn't fill it with the good stuff (intros, anthem, etc.).

I watched MLB Network until about 8:05. No reason to watch TBS pre or post game.

I would like the option of watching the MLB network, but my stone age cable company doesn't have it and cable is included in my condo association dues. Also, my office cable doesn't have MLB network, so I will be spending Friday afternoon at a bar watching the Bucs.

I learned as a 13 year old watching the pre-game show for Super Bowl XII that I knew more than the sportscasters. I haven't watched a pregame show since where this prejudice of mine wasn't proved correct. I didn't even turn on the TV until after 8:00pm.

I know what you mean. I know more than everybody else too. ;)

I'm not a pregame guy either. I just like the game itself.
