I don't see a game thread so I'll start one, so I can complain about Walker bunting into an out in the first inning when the situation did not call for a bunt.

Bases loaded, 2 outs.

Justin Morneau works an eight-pitch walk.

Garrett Jones then grounds out on two pitches.

So tell me again how Morneau is not an upgrade to Jones?

That play by the Cubs was amazing. Fumbling, bumbling and stumbling.

That hurts. Nothing Pedro could do. Baseball cruelty.

Stranding a runner at 3rd with no outs. Bad juju.

Because we're only allowed to look at OPS, Bucfan. Duh.

If I had a lid right now, it would be inside out and backwards. Rally time. C'mon! Put a hurt on the Cubs. Right now.

Great job by Jones with 2 strikes. Didn't look pretty but he did exactly what he had to do there.

I cannot watch Pirates hitters with a runner at 3rd and less than 2 outs.

I have seen this movie and know how it ends ... every freaking time.

Eminently frustrating. Bucs at 41% scoring runs with a runner on 3rd and less than 2 outs on the year.

Why let Liriano pitch to the guy who was 2-2 with two doubles off of him? Why the hell didn't Hurdle go to Mazzaro after Liriano walked Lake?

That's even MORE frustrating than the stranded runners...

Yes, and of course I am thrilled that the extraordinarily crappy Darwin Barney pisses all over the Pirates, while spending his time on the DL or tapping back to the pitcher against the Cardinals.

@#&$ you, Barney.

I agree, and I was going to bitch about offense (yet again :D), but then I thought to myself...the Reds lost to the Mets again today and the score was 1-0!

Go figure!

By the way, I'm with you Ralphie about Walker. Why was he bunting with Marte already on 2B in the 1st Inning????? I don't get that one!

When they stranded Morneau after his hustle in the 6th I put this one in the loss column. Now we gotta take 2 in Cincinnati.
