That unknown Mets catcher has a CANNON. Just gunned down Billy Hamilton on a steal attempt in the bottom of the fifth. First time Hamilton has been caught stealing in the majors (on his 14th attempt).

I believe that catcher, and the reason we have Buck, is our illustrious minor league SS's brother. One Mr. d'Arnaud.

Nope. I knew him. It's Juan Centeno. And if you say you know who HE is, you're lying.

Reds looking extremely frustrated against DiceK. Phillips is in the field shaking his head - looking very ticked off. Let's hope that their sphincters are wedged under their uvulas right now.

7 in the books. Mets 1 Reds 0.
DiceK still looking strong.

Would be nice if the Mets could give him some extra runs.

Mets very narrowly tiptoe out of danger in the 8th. After a one out, one on K of Hamilton, they (unintentionally) walked Choo on 4 pitches to bring up Votto with two outs and runners on second and third after a wild pitch. Votto got under one to end out that likely leaves Great American Smallpark with slightly better contact.

Count me in as one of those guys who thought the Mets would have a hard time squeaking out one win let alone 2 wins. Those amazing Mets.

We can thank the Mets for coming to play and giving the Reds everything that they could handle.

The Nats . . . ehhhh . . . not so much.

Bottom 7 in St. Louis. Cards 4 Nats 1.

Nope. I do know that the Mets kept saying they got rid of Buck so that d'Arnaud could be the everyday catcher, though.

Yeah. He must've been off today. I never heard of this guy, but he has an arm. Strong and accurate.
