Post subject:  Win -vs- No Hitter

Would rather have seen the skipper make a pitching change after the 5th and possibly not give up the 2-run homer, versus trying for the no hitter.
This time of year the win is more important, IMHO

Wins come and go. You get like 90 of those a year.

I think he should've switched him out because he was already at 99 pitches heading into the 7th. A combined no hitter was inevitable at that point (at least it better have been) so just yank the guy.

It's not like he was trotting him out in the 9th with 99 pitches and I don't think even Hurdle is dumb enough to potentially subject Liriano's arm to 130 pitches or so.

He was clearly laboring in the 6th, two walks (one to pitcher) and deep counts. I think he has to go out for the 7th. I yank him after he gives up lead off single though.
