Liriano has an excellent chance to burn through this lineup.

No contact play costs a run.

The Bucs really don't want Wood to settle into a groove. Getting Liriano some runs early would be a very good thing.

Really would've preferred for Sanchez to have had a chance to swing the bat.

Reds lead 3-0 in the 3rd.

Cards lead 1-0 in the 4th.

Given his pitch count, I'm hoping that a certain event doesn't tempt Searage and Hurdle to leave him in too long.

Probably it for Liriano. 99 pitches through 6. No way he could go a CG.

Just thought the same thing. Don't compromise the post season for something nice today. A combiner would work nicely.

Liriano, no hitter, awesome. Liriano, 140 pitches doing it, not so awesome.

I'm fine with a three or four pitcher combined no-no.

Just feels like this game is on cruise control and that is fraught with peril. A hit and one mistake pitch and this game is tied. Sure hope we don't look back at the bottom of first with regret when this game is over.

Got to love seeing our workhorse starter at 105 pitches (and counting) late in September.
