Let me put you at ease they are dead and buried.

My head says you are right but I have a nagging dread of them getting in the mix. Would love to see the Bucs take next two and the Nats drop one and put them out of their misery.

It's going to be tough for the Nats to catch the Bucs. Of course, a one-game playoff scares me.

Difficult, but not impossible.

The Bucs are 7 games up, with 15 to go. Even if the Bucs went 5-10 over the last 15 games, the Nats would need to go 13-2 to tie us. I feel good about MAKING the playoffs.

The more I think about that game the more pissed I get that we Lost it. Indeed to let it go.

To paraphrase:

The cubs are who we thought they are...AND WE LET THEM OFF THE HOOK!

Agree with Hebner - tough loss. Grilli arguably struck out the side, does not get the call, Hurdle leaves Grilli in to face Rizzo (who is hitting .178 off left-handers), and the results suck.
