Nitpicking, but be weary of GABP's radar gun. Chapman obviously throws extremely hard and regularly hits triple digits. But GABP has been known to exaggerate his pitch speeds and inflate them by 3-4 mph in the past. One incident specifically happened against the Pirates two years ago. Chapman supposedly threw 106 (I believe) on a pitch that came up and in on McCutchen which was reported as breaking the record for the fastest pitch recorded in the MLB. Others reported that the speed Cincinnati posted was about 4 mph higher than the mph on MLB and ESPN's Gameday zones. Living in Cincinnati, I have seen this happen other times as well. Again, it's nitpicking, not taking anything away from Chapman. But this being a big series against their rival St. Louis, it wouldn't surprise me if they ramped up those numbers a little bit.

Did you mean "wary" or "weary". The latter is pretty funny if that's what you meant.

3-2 Reds - bottom 5.
Cards reeling. Ump took out Allen Craig.

They are now in the 13th. Is this where the Cards and Reds burn each other up?

Over in 16, Cardinals get one.

Bizarre bottom of the 15th. Choo led off with a single and was bunted over. Votto grounds out, Bruce is intentionally walked. Heisey then showed bunt (squeeze with two outs?) and Choo gets caught in a run down trying to steal home.

Zach Duke was also a September call-up for the Reds and served as their LOOGY tonight.

I had no idea he had been in their organization.

Surprised?

Duke belongs to the vampire class of the MLB. Lefty pitchers never die or go away.

Only he didn't call it. Heisy did it on his own and Choo reacted poorly.
