I don't like that play either. No reason to take a guy out of scoring position, the infield is in so if it gets by them you're home easily anyway.

Thank god Lynn threw 2 balls to Martin and took the bunt away from him. Got us some extra runs, too.

Raise it.

Very little doubt about it.

Great start to a key series.

Tomorrow was always going to be a 'wild card' day with Locke out of the picture, so...

Big, BIG deal to take the first two (in dominant fashion, no less!).

I for one, am not worried about Cutch....He is the difference this season. instead of fading late in the season, he has pretty much carried the team on his back during August and the numbers bear this out. If he hits .250 for Aug. this year, we are 6-8 games out. That is MVP stuff.....JMHO......... 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-) 8-)

Cards have Cutch's number. He is hitting .207 vs Cards this season. The other team he struggled against this year was the Dodgers, which makes me a little nervous for the playoffs, but not overly nervous.

He had a bad night last night no doubt, but the night before he hit the ball hard all but one at bat. Unfortunately they were right at people. Last night with the bases loaded he smoked one foul down each line. Don't think we need to worry too much about him in the long run...but against the Cards...maybe just a little.

He actually has 2 or 3 starts in recent weeks where he got run support, then gave several runs right back.
