Another incompetent umpire behind the plate. Cutch should have hit him in the head with a bat

What's with this HP Umpire? I'm so tired of the inconsistency regarding balls and strikes from Umpire to Umpire. A HR is a HR. A foul ball should be a foul ball. A fair ball should be a fair ball. An out no matter where it happens or how it happens should be an out. A strike should be a strike. A ball should be a ball.

Out calls, fair or foul ball calls, strikes or balls, Home Runs, trapped balls...no matter what it is should be black and white...period end of sentence.

In four games now since joining the Bucs, Byrd has four hits -- 2 doubles and an HR -- and maybe Cutch will finally get some protection in the lineup.

Another "running on contact" from 3B resulting in an easy out. I don't get it. That play should be banned.

On a happy note...thank you AJ and Tabata...Bucs lead 2-0! :D

Between him and Morneau, heck yeah.

It's going to become harder for teams to pitch around the Bucs... they're going to have to pick their spots/work for outs.

Been out of the loop for two weeks... Has A.J. been getting run support and/or using said run support to his benefit his last few starts?

33rd game that Bucs have scored 6 or more runs. 28-4 in first 32.

EDIT: In 17 of their 56 losses, the pitchers have given up 3 or fewer runs. In 28 of their 56 losses, the pitchers have given up 4 or fewer runs.

Looking forward to seeing what offense can do over the final month.

Tonight? Or in general? Because I would disagree with the latter.

But it's nice to be putting these many runs on the board without Cutch having to carry the club on his back. Not withstanding Cutch contributing, I'm really enjoying this team! Go Bucs!!!! :D

A win tonight ties the number of wins all of last year.

Barmes flashing the leather so far tonight.

Just the last two nights, finishing August over .425 would've been awesome.

Pirates score 5 and at least 7 runs against two pretty good pitchers, with Cutch going 0-7 and contributing nothing so far? That should scare the rest of the NL.

Yeah. Late season trades don't do anything for a team, do they?
