Wow. Further "we have no confidence in Garrett Jones" evidence.

John Buck with his debut in a Pirates uniform. It'll be fun to watch him work. He has a reputation for having a very well-developed "book" on hitters that he shares with pitchers. Let's watch how Cole attacks these Brewers hitters tonight.

Surprised to not see Pie starting LF after Tabata's display of his lost speed the other night.

Myth. Strategy doesn't exist in baseball.

Off-target throw by Pedro costs the Pirates a double-play ball hit by Segura.

Their lead-off hitter Gennett, really looks like a ball player. I hope we get our heads in the game.....it has not seemed like it is so far.

Listening on the radio. Ball was overrun, went to the wall, not an insider by Cutch? Who's in center?

Cutch thought it was going to be caught and did not run out of the box. If he had, it would have been an inside the park HR. :(

I believe he thought it was a routine single to center. Players don't sprint to first base on those.

I've been in arguments here about how much he hustles, which I still think is generally true. In this case he was actually almost stopped a third of way down first base line. Even if he is just jogging lightly to first he scores...inexcusable.

You should watch video of players going to first base on routine singles to the outfield. "Jogging" is generally the fastest gear you'll see.

I don't need to watch videos. If he would've been at least jogging he scores. He was barely walking.
Look, I think he hustles as much as anyone in the game...99.9% of the time. He blew it on this one.

Mercer is getting worked over by the ump. Usually its the pitcher on a tough night. Tonight its the ump.
