Harrison now has 11 RBIs in 67 ABs, which gives him, as near as I can tell, the 2nd best RBI to AB ratio on the team, behind Pedro's 1 to 5 ratio.

Just found it interesting, you know, for those of us who still obsess over RBIs....

Yeah, because it doesn't mean you created a run or anything.

Pedro Alvarez Tuesday night against all right-handed pitchers: 4-4, HR, 2B, BB, RBI, Run
Pedro Alvarez Wednesday night against mediocre LHP Tom Gorzelanny: 0-3, K, 0-2 with RISP

I'll give you that Pedro hit the ball pretty hard in the bottom of the 4th and Brewers' second baseman made a fine play to throw him out, but Pedro's splits are getting wider and wider. His line against LHP on the year is now:

.193/.267/.312 (.579 OPS), 49 Ks, 3 HRs, 7 XBH, in 109 ABs

Byrd can hit. He got a low fastball with runners 1st and 3rd, 1 out, and was looking to lift the ball.

He did ... lifted it over the center field fence. But even if the ball makes it only to the warning track, job done - would have made the score 5-1 Buccos.

I liked Byrd and thought he fit the bill for a summer pick-up. If he keeps smacking the ball and kicking the opposition in the nuts when they pitch around Cutch, he will be a huge addition.

HUGE.

I thought his home run was a routine fly ball to center. It just kept going. He didn't even seem to swing that hard.

In other news, Wainwright getting killed.

Of course, the downside to this is we might see him on Sunday now, since he only went 2 innings. You know he's going to come back strong in his next start.

You mean just like Jeff Locke? Lol
