Bobby Bo! One of my all-time favorite Bucs! That's a good omen for a big offensive day for our guys!

Reds are losing. Cardinals are losing. Let's take the series and the division lead back.

He seems to get into trouble with two outs.

The bucco hitters have to be willing to hit the ball to opposite field. They have to commit. The giants pitcher is outside, outside, outside until he gets you in a hole then he busts you inside. His control is superb in this game so the hitters have to change their philosophy.

That's a quality start from AJ. I hope Hurdle gives him one more.

AJ has danced through some raindrops, but more the most part got it done.......with no support. Simply amazing the number of fly outs as well as the usual K's from the Bucs.

Burnett had pitched his guts out for 7 innings. He was not crisp, but battled.

Putting him back on the mound for the 8th, after 110 pitches, was just @##%ing stupid.

I think that'll do it for AJ. He had to be perfect today. Not meant to be. Say hello to 6.50 era vogelsong. He'll cure you.

Consistency: this offense lacks it.

Hurdle was trying to get AJ the win. Best of the year from vogelsong, broadcast just said. Ha

Amazing how the Pirates can make a pitcher with a era near 7 look like Verlander

Just went back on the DVR and watched Vogelsong. He simply didn't make mistakes. He left 5 balls over the heart, middle in somewhere and 3 of those pitches were breaking balls. Amazing. His velocity is gone but he changed speeds and hit the corners. The pirate offense was reluctant to use the whole field. Pulled every outside pitch. Recipe for disaster.
