Fine by me. I have the MLB.com. I can't stand fox broadcast team that consists of reds homer Thomas brennaman. And if the game isn't televised in my region, I won't get to see the game.

Is there something about Fox Sports that makes you think they would show anything other than this type of lineup?

Fox Soccer routinely shows the same 3 or 4 teams on 80% of their broadcasts.

Wait, what the hell is going on September 8? Are both the Yankees and Red Sox off? Come on, man, we need more Yankees v. Red Sox, so I can watch Lyle Overbay, Eduardo Nunez, Chris Stewart, Vernon Wells, etc.

Uhhh, PUIG. #Batflip!

Puig is evidence that it's a big market bias, not an east coast bias.

I know nothing about the new channel or Fox Sports in general but I think it could be a pretty successful venture to attempt to create a rival major sports network that capitalizes on all of the ESPN's many miscues, which are pretty much universal criticisms at this point. Not just the obvious critiques like the over-saturation of the big market team coverage like in this example, but the lack of regular season NHL coverage, the mind-boggling over-saturation of what are perceived as interest-grabbing issues like Tim Tebow, Brett Favre, what controversial athletes are saying on social media etc., and the employing and promoting of personalities like Skip Bayless and Colin Cowherd as their keystone figures. These are just a few reasons I, no exaggeration, haven't willingly watched ESPN in going on 5 years. It will never be done right, but it can be done way better than ESPN.

With NFL, MLB, and NHL Networks, ESPN is completely pointless outside of college football.

Ding ding, exactly. I heard someone say "Web Gem" the other day and it seemed very retro, like 2002. I haven't watched Baseball Tonight since the inception of the MLB Network.

I used to love Baseball Tonight. Back during the '98 HR chase especially. I think the internet has done as much damage as anything else to shows like that.
