Was hoping for a few more from Pedro. Making round 2 doesn't look likely with 6.

Anyone think Chris Davis is a juicer?

I'm happy with 6...that's the most any Pirate in a Home Run Derby has hit. And I must say, the years the Pirates won the WS, no Pirate was in a Home Run Derby...at least to my best recollection! :D

Go Pedro! Go Bucs!

That one Pedro hit was a bomb. He never did find the rhythm though. Cespedes found rhythm.

Well, we have learned a few things

1. Bryce Harper and Mike Cuddyer who we all bitched about getting picked over Pedro both hit more than Pedro.

2. Because of #1, 38k fans at the stadium and the countless pirates fans on Facebook and Twitter looked like assholes for booing DW when he was correct and we were all wrong.

I think booing always make you look like an asshole.

Stark on the Derby...

http://espn.go.com/mlb/allstar13/story/ ... by-preview

Quote:
The tale of the tape
Which of these eight thumpers consistently hits those poor, innocent baseballs the farthest? We can actually pass along that sort of life-changing info, thanks to Home Run Tracker.

But as we get ready to present the average true home run distance of your eight Derby combatants, see if you can guess where they rank, 1 to 8. We bet you can't!

1. Yoenis Cespedes, 407.9 feet
2. Pedro Alvarez, 407.1 feet
3. Michael Cuddyer, 406.8 feet
4. Bryce Harper, 406.5 feet
5. Chris Davis, 403.9 feet
6. David Wright, 404.7 feet
7. Robinson Cano, 401.5 feet
8. Prince Fielder, 396.2 feet

Now here's the really fun fact to come out of that list: The two guys who have actually won a Derby in their careers -- Cano and Fielder -- rank seventh and eighth.

Dan Patrick floated the idea today about average length of HR to determine the winner.....BP pitcher threw too many down in the zone..gotta throw them high thigh to belt high....fun stuff....i don't like Bryce Harper and Mrs. AZBF really thinks his haircut, the faux hawk looks really stupid..she says an ugly guy should not have an ugly haricut....telling comment...

...kinda expected you to log on last night during the derby to tell us how to blow the pitchers. They were giving up some bombs.
