Donaldson hit that ball as far as you can in a ballpark without getting a jog around the bases. But I'll take it.

This is probably going to be a low scoring game and the better offense will probably prevail. Just saying.

Very nice 2-seamer by Locke to induce an easy double play. 90 mph and low. Stay there, Jeff, my friend.

Get the Oakland feed here and they said that Colon will throw strikes. We gotta try and be ready to hit them.

There has clearly been a "swing early" approach applied by Pirates hitters so far. I can actually recall it being done a couple of teams this year such as the King Felix game.

Moments like that are exactly why Hurdle deserves his poor tactical reputation. Let one of your best hitters swing away with two RISP and no outs please.

It's almost like our offensive woes can't all be pinned on one person or position....

I would say the clamoring to upgrade RF and replacing Inge is pretty much representative of that.

It's a mediocre offense, there's no fix.

Tabata continues to be on drugs. I am not saying he should have caught the double by Lowrie, but it should have been closer. He took the wrong angle to the ball..again.
