With both Inge and Barmes starting this evening against Oakland, I thought I'd start a thread in which we can predict their cumulative batting line. Here's mine:

0-6, 3Ks, 1 sacrifice bunt

Bonus points for anyone who accurately predicts the number of posts in the variety of "Bartolo Colon isn't actually that good, it's the Pirates offense ..." and/or references to his weight by Clevelandsux in the game thread.

he will have less weight references compared to the amount of times he says, "Wtf (insert name here). way to blow!!"

I think that Inge and Barmes will not only go hitless but they will actually cause other players in the lineup to field badly, strike out and be offensively useless. They will also be blamed for stranding runners on base when other Pirate players are actually at bat, for the home plate umpire's horrific strike zone, Bartolo Colon's high calorie diet and for assisting Edward Snowden's efforts to obtain political asylum in either Bolivia, Nicaragua or Venezuala.

It feels like whatever you expect things will go the other way.

Trouble is, both guys have low expectations... so will both produce at some level???

The smart money is probably on Barmes to do better than Inge, be it at the plate and/or overall.

While he has been anemic, he has had moments of servicability and hasn't been as abysmal as Inge.

Fun Fact: If you add together Inge's and Barmes' OPS, it comes to .966, which would be the sixth-best OPS in all of Major League Baseball!

Well I can say that I do know for sure that it is their fault I have a lab that ate two avocados and then something crunchy on it's walk Fri. resulting in three days of puke, not eating leading to an exorbitant vet bill that hopefully won't get worse after the dog passes the second avocado pit...

But he went right back to the dugout to provide value to the team with his INGEtangibles.

Barmes is now 2/3 with a double and officially the beneficiary of a reverse jinx.

Unfortunately, Inge still royally sucks.
