I forgot to list the captains... David Wright and Robinson Cano.

Cuddyer is the only questionable pick. He's a line drive hitter that hits some homeruns, similar to how Jason Bay used to be. David did say though that they were good friends and that's why he picked him.

Awful selection by Wright. Maybe bias, but awful.

Alvarez sure would have been fun to watch.

The only bad pick is Cuddyer, he isn't the type of HR hitter that succeeds in an HR derby.

Goldschmidt and Pedro should've represented the NL alongside Gonzalez, IMO.

Harper starting is bad enough, no reason to keep pimping him.

Harper has great power. He's not a bad pick at all.

I think AJ is having fun with the fans.

I hope Pedro goes off this weekend against the Mets and when he rounds third base after each homerun he can give David Wright a little wink and a smile.

Ha ha, Burnett is struggling. Good stuff.

Goldschmidt and Alvarez got screwed. David Wright, your team is going to get waxed.

Put me in the category of people who are disappointed that Alvarez won't be in it but think that it may be a blessing in disguise. Just speaking from the gut. I don't have a pASDHrWAN to cite in support.

He's a bad pick because he's mainly a big name to attact the 'hip crowd'. He's played in only 50 games this year.

Yes he's hitting HR's at a prodigious clip, but Pedro 'earned' the bid. Harper is a 'tenure' pick (which is funny considering he's a sophomore!).

Dude. It's the home run derby. It's a gimmick. David Wright gets to pick his own team. Hell, he picked Cuddyer because they knew each other growing up. Don't take it too seriously.

It's not a big deal.

It's great that Pedro won't have to hit meaningless HR's which possible 'curses' him down the stretch.

It's just that Wright's picks are dumb.

Thank you for saying it so I didn't have to.

Total 'trying to be hip' pick.
