There is a nice article in today's St. Petersburg Times about our new hurlers from the Subcontinent:

Interesting story ... but I am the only one who thinks that pitchers who used to be really good hitters are waaaay ahead of where these guys are??

Pitchers who were pitched around, or faced tough sliders on the corner, or who tried to hit letter-high fastballs know what pitch can work, and when it will work.

Guys who know the mechanics of pitching, plus know what pitches are tough to hit, and when those pitches are most effective > guys that just know the mechanics of pitching.
