No, that was a good play on his part to pull the cutoff throw to him and allow the run to score. His moved guaranteed the run while holding a 2nd may have cost it.

As evidenced by a pissed off catcher.

Caught in the shift with Alvarez at 2nd. Need to figure this one out between games. This is the second time I've seen a team take advantage of the shift that pulls Pedro off 3rd.

And, I see that Shark has already beaten me to the punch on those notes.

Liriano has been as dominant so far as any Pirates pitcher I can ever remember seeing.

I thought the same thing Shark. AJ has been un-hittable at times but Liriano has been more consistent over the first half......the only downside is his propensity for walks.

Solid win Buccos. This squad has been resilient all year after disappointing games. Nice way to start the series.

Raise it!!

Good win. Liriano's at-bats were impressive. But for the CF'er playing so shallow, he has 2 hits and 2 RBI's.

yeah, great game, nice to see liriano go the distance and give the other arms a rest. also nice to see liriano continue to get run support - when he's been on the hill the bucs are averaging 4.8 runs per game, when he's not it's been 3.8 runs per game.

How can you blame Jones?

Relax Clevelandsux, enjoy the games. Don't stress yourself so much. The sky is NOT FALLING every time something bad happens. Am I going to have to start calling you Chicken Little?

And I didn't see it till after they showed the replay. Understand it's easier to say things after the fact.
