The Pirates recalled Josh Harrison and sent down Tony Sanchez. This makes sense, I'd rather have Sanchez get AB's in Indy.

I guess they are waiting to try and trade McKenry?

And why Harrison? Not every player on the roster has to play multiple positions. Presley's OPS is 400 pts higher.

Presley isn't eligible to come up yet.

Sanchez playing every day is better than backing up Martin, at this stage in his development. Russ is playing too well to split time. I'd guess you see Sanchez back up in September, backing up Martin for most/all of next year, and then take over in 2015 if everything goes according to plan.

He can still use extra reps this year though.

Since need is Rt field, someone please tell me the status of Joes Tabata. If he's not coming back, Presley may be the guy we need but Harrison won't help the bench and can't play outfield. Can he?

Started rehabbing in Indy on June, 21. Other than that, there hasn't been much on him. I would think/hope he wouldn't be too far away.

Presley was sent down June 20 so wasn't eligible to be called up. Players who are sent down need to stay down for a minimum of 10 days, unless they need to be called back up because of an injury.

I think Harrison was just the best of the remaining options, and hopefully Jose is back sooner than later and can swap with him.

Don't think they wanted to call Lambo up after only 17 games in AAA, either.

Makes more sense to bring up a hot bat as opposed to a player coming back from a long layoff. Harrison is more versatile too.

Hurdle reporting Tabata "is in a good place physically".

I wonder how they can sew the Pirates logo on this stuff to keep him safe?

They aren't going to trade McKenry.

Ivan de Jesus is raking in AAA. I would like to see him play some 2B with Walker in RF.
