Bradenton, Fla. - The Marauders (27-43, 1-1) split their first two games of the second half, winning 4-3 and then falling 4-0 in their doubleheader against the Charlotte Stone Crabs (30-39, 1-1) Friday night at McKechnie Field. Stetson Allie went 1-for-3 in both games, including a double and an RBI in game one.

David Price pitched 2 1/3 innings for the Stone Crabs in game one as the start of a Major League rehab assignment. Price struck out four and walked two, surrendering one earned and one unearned run. Jose Osuna and Alen Hanson had singles against the reigning American League Cy Young Award winner.

Joely Rodriguez debuted on the mound for the Marauders. Rodriguez bounced back from a three-run third inning by retiring the next six batters he faced. He would have continued into the sixth, however the game was delayed by rain for one hour and 51 minutes.

With the game tied 3-3 after the rain delay, Hanson put the Marauders on top 4-3 with an RBI-single off Nate Garcia. Joan Montero (W, 4-2) pitched two scoreless innings to earn the win. Hanson went 3-for-4 in the first game.

Charlotte's Jesse Hahn (W, 1-0) was dominant on the mound in game two. The righty pitched five innings for the first time in 2013, striking out five and allowing only two singled. Shea Crawford added two scoreless innings on the hill.

The Marauders improved to 10-15 in one-run games this season with their game-one win. Dan Gamache hit his 20th double of the year in game one, giving him nine for the month of June.

The Marauders and Stone Crabs play again Saturday at McKechnie Field. The game begins at 6:30 p.m. with gates opening at 5:30 p.m. Orlando Castro will make his Marauders debut on the mound. The Stone Crabs will counter with Felipe Rivero.

Couple people on Twitter said the Allie double was absolutely crushed. Sounds like he could be fun to watch potentially.

How has Hanson's defense looked lately?

Man has power. I saw him last week here in Salisbury and his HR dead center field at 400' was maybe 30 feet above the wall. I didn't look at the radar gun, was waaaay to busy trying to track the ball, but the pitcher was throwing in high 80s, at best.

Yeah I'm really not sure how to feel about his debut yesterday. 2-6 with a double and RBI is nice....4 K's in his other at-bats is a bit discouraging.
