.... and everyone else.

I got 7 right but one of the right answers was based on faulty reasoning so, if I had to show my "proof," it would have only been a 6.

Enjoy as Grilli closes this one down.

I also got 7 out of 10 ... but did so in true "Pirates in a 4-game series" fashion by missing the first 3 and getting the last 7 correct.

I did no better than a 5, but will not give details as it would spoil it for others.
Just one comment - the questions are as convoluted as the rule book!

I got 6 out of ten and did the opposite. Got 5 of the first six and then hit my slump.

Since y'all missed my earlier post on this same topic...

I'm not even going to attempt the quiz because I fully admit that I don't care, but this was interesting, and it did explain my experience at a recent MiLB game....

http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/quiz/_/ ... -mlb-rules

Quote:
Luckily, though, we did find 32 courageous folks who were willing. Some of them wondered afterward why they'd ever gotten themselves into this mess. But when the results were in, here was the verdict:

• We had 20 of the most astute players in the game take the quiz. Their average score: 5.5 out of 10.

• Four coaches and one manager (John Farrell of the Red Sox) joined the fun. They averaged 6.6 out of 10. Farrell represented America's managers in exemplary fashion. He got nine out of 10.

• And seven of us media know-it-alls tried our luck -- six ESPN baseball "geniuses," plus Twins broadcaster (and longtime former player) Dan Gladden. You'll be shocked to learn our average score was a spectacular 4.4. Then again, we were dragged down a little by our otherwise-all-knowing friend, Aaron Boone, who somehow got one out of 10. (Full disclosure: I took this thing, too – and put a "6" on the old scoreboard. I'll take it.)

Marazzi told us he considered six out of 10 to be a "passing" grade. By that measure, only 13 of the 32 participants passed -- eight players, two coaches, our designated manager and two media "geniuses" (including this author, he slipped in there nonchalantly).

Are you telling me that you didn't know that a player could be carried by another player around the base paths? C'mon Az . . . to borrow from The Sandlot . . . "you're killing me Smalls!"

(I didn't know either)

When I think of carrying another man, I think of a charity I try to help:

Not trying to hijack this thread, but it was the first thing I thought of when I read No. 9's comment.
