Carlos Garcia has said that we shouldn't expect Pimentel to throw 96-98, because if he is, he is getting clobbered because he is overthrowing. His success seems to fall when he backs off to the 93 range and spots his pitches.

Interesting. His pitching coach said they liked him around 95, 96. I'm curious to see which way they go with him. Not sure whether the manager (that's Garcia right?) or pitching coach would be the one making decisions and talking/planning about individuals with Stark and Broadway.

I had no idea Pimentel threw that hard.

Oliver walks a ton of guys - 35 in 48 innings. But otherwise his numbers are very good. 2.61 ERA, 54 K's and only 31 hits. Age 25.
