Thank God. Almost squandered second and third with no outs.

Four pitches have been thrown thus far in the inning and Bo Porter is bringing in his third reliever. And I here I accused Hurdle of going overboard about the platoon advantage when I saw tonight's line-up.

My lord Gaby the ball was right down the middle. Head scratcher.

Gonna have to lean on Melancon and Grilli to get it done.

Gaby is having an awful night on offense and defense. If we end up losing this, HORNS!

The problem with playing a dogshit team like the Astros is that any game they are close, their manager treats like Game 7 of the World Series since he has so few opportunities to make moves that actually matter.

He will destroy the pen for a week just to win one game. Since, hey, that's going to be the only win of the week and who gives a shit about destroying a pen that blows?

Has the Astro pitching been that good tonight, or is it that the Pirate hitters have been that bad?

I vote for the latter. They get into funks where they make about everyone look like Cy Young

I hope we win this soon. It doesn't feel like the bucs night. Not capitalizing on runners in scoring position, hardly getting runners on.

The astros seem to be threatening more often to take hold of this game.

So ... anyone care to explain why Barmes wasn't in the game in the 8th? Mr. Back-up Quarterback showed his limited range there. At a minimum, it should've been a force out at second. Barmes should've been in the game for defensive purposes.

Awful game. It was basically like being a White Sox fan and watching the scenario for "8 men out" take place.
