Hmmmmmmm. Not sure that I approve of this IA. You've held off three days in a row and it resulted in Bucco victories.

As for being ridiculously superstitious, I have a weird one for you this year. I am a watch geek and have accumulated a decent cache of nice vintage wristwatches. I have worn the same watch until the Pirates lose and then I will rotate it out for a different one. As it turns out, I rotated to an orange-faced Tag Formula One on Tuesday morning after the Bucs lost on Monday. It dawned on me this morning that I am wearing an orange-faced watch with the Bucs lined up to play the Astros. It just seems so wrong to be sporting the opposing team's colors but I don't want to mess with the good karma.

Yeah, I know. Wholly irrational. Don't care.

From what I discovered through some research, Lyle faced the Bucs twice in 2012, lasted about 5 innings, and surrendered slightly above 5 runs on an average each time.

You have me second guessing myself now. My thought process was not starting the game threads worked for the Brewers. If the Pirates lose tonight, it's all on me my friends!

There's Alvarez in the 7-hole again. I think it is him who needs the prayers, IA.

I just entered in the Astros lineup and, my goodness, I don't know half these guys. It reminded me of this scene from Major League...

Pretty much. I recognized four guys, but one was an ex-Bucco, so...

I smell the STBHOF again (Lyles)...along with bad Pirate baseball...pitching, defense, and offense.

Good thing the Pirates aren't wasting a defensive talent like Barmes by benching him.

Barmes two nights in a row with the E. Getting some hits is great but your game is defense. Team needs to quit reading their press clippings and get their head into the game.

Barmes' ham-fisted bungling of routine plays is cause for concern. Jesus, if the dude cannot catch a perfect throw from Martin and costs a run, then it's an issue.

Down 2 runs in the sixth with 2 on and one out and Pedro up. I swear I would have pinch hit. Because he did exactly what we all expected, struke out. You have to put the ball in play in that situation. I am so over him.
