you should add 1974 & 75 since they won the NL East those years.

I really like this comparison.

Seeing this again is infuriating (or depressing, based on the whim of the day).

Thank God the 2013 Buccos avenged that!

Now they can focus on avenging '92!

Pretty comparable!

The 1972 Pirates won on September 13 to raise their record to 88-48 for a .647 winning percentage.

That was such a great team. I hate the Reds with the heat of a 1,000 suns.

On September 23, 2006 The Pirate’s record was 65-90
On September 23, 2005 The Pirate’s record was 62-92
On September 23, 2004 The Pirate’s record was 68-84
On September 23, 2003 The Pirate’s record was 73-84
On September 23, 2002 The Pirate’s record was 69-87

37 game improvement when compared to 2010. On average, approximately 6 wins per month.

I'm just curious and do not have the time to look it up, but is the Pirates 3 year win improvement among the best? Two years ago, they had a what, 15 game improvement, and again improved by an impressive number last year. Now from 76 to 90+...

I know that when teams jump up, they usually jump fast and hard. Just curious how the Bucs did in that context.

What's worse than being a Pirates fan the last 20 years? Being an Expos fan.

Interestingly enough the Expos always seemed to be a thorn in our side. I remember them playing us very tough down the stretch in 1990.

I really liked this, if not too hard to repeat I would love to see it once or twice a week. Also, loved record by 10 game segments too. I can't quickly find that thread but whoever did that last year, I would like seeing that starting around the end of may. Provided we are not horrible.

Thanks in advance.
